Throughout the whole of Germany, the Kinder laufen für Kinder (Children run for Children) initiative organises smaller and larger charity runs with children and young people. True to its motto of ‘move to make things happen’, the initiative collects donations for every kilometre run, in line with the sponsorship principle – these funds then benefit various selected charitable projects and organisations.

In coordination with the Bavarian Teachers' Association, the umbrella organization Clowns in Medizin und Pflege Deutschland e.V. and the children's aid organization Right to Play, three funding priorities were selected for the coming school year. In the field of health, the project Laughing makes you healthy, in the field of education the project "Schools for Schools" and in the social field the project "Play creates the future".

835,000 schoolchildren ran almost 3.8 million kilometers and thus achieved a total donation of 7.6 million euros. As the organisation and execution of these runs incur expenses and costs which may not to be paid-out from the donations, we, as a company, became sponsors of this initiative in 2009. In addition, our employees also become actively involved, for example, by volunteering as stewards (corporate volunteering) at the charity run in Munich or the Zott Anniversary Run.
