The basis for our brand and quality products
We attach great importance to fair and understanding cooperation and in particular maintain a trusting and future-oriented relationship with our milk suppliers and their families. As a dairy, we focus on animal husbandry and animal health. Together with our responsible milk producers, we want to contribute to greater animal welfare. We implement many measures to achieve this.
Golden Milk Can
Our award for sustainability and animal welfare
The award recognizes farms that are particularly associated with sustainability, animal welfare and profitability. Since the first Golden Milk Can was awarded in Germany 2014, each winner has received prize money. In recent years, we have paid out a total of 100,000 euros. In 2025 our award finally comes to Poland and our Polish farmers.
Milk origin
Milk from Bavaria and the Polish region Silesia
Most of the family farms in Germany are located in the beautiful and unspoiled regions of Bavaria and neighboring Baden-Württemberg. In Poland we use milk from farms of the region Silesia. In total, we only source our milk around our production sites in Mertingen, Günzburg and Opole.
Farm Succession Day
Over 10 years of constructive dialog
At the request of our milk producers, we launched the Farm Succession Day, which helps to promote personal and constructive dialog between our dairy and our milk suppliers. Since 2012, the Dairy Day for Farm Successors has been held annually at different locations in Zott's milk catchment area and has quickly become a fixed date in the annual calendar.
