The packaging for our balls and rolls is made from modern multilayer film. This ensures that the Zottarella is well protected from external influences such as light and oxygen and retains its quality and freshness for a long time. This multilayer packaging is thin, uses less material and is therefore more resource-efficient than its alternatives.

History

Mozzarella - a success story

Mozzarella has its origins in southern Italy. Early records show that the Romans were already producing a similar cheese from sheep's milk in the middle of the 1st century AD. Mozzarella began its triumphal march across Europe in the middle of the 20th century. Due to the enormous demand, mozzarella is made almost exclusively from cow's milk.
